Hello and thanks for visiting Joints in Motion Physical Therapy’s website!

ABOUT JOINTS IN MOTION PHYSICAL THERAPY

Joints in Motion Physical Therapy  is a private physical therapy clinic, located in Lake Nebagamon, WI.

Lynne Breister, PT, LMT, first opened her practice  in 1996, as Orthopedic & Spine Therapy, in Poplar, WI, with the goal to provide one-on-one patient care that emphasized hands-on manual techniques, combined with modalities, in order to bring about the best results for the patients. She sold Orthopedic & Spine Therapy in 1998, in order to spend more time with her family, but still had a vision for providing personalize one-on-one care that was both compassionate and effective for the patient. This vision led her to open Joints in Motion Physical Therapy, in Iron River, WI, in 2000, and she provided care in the Iron River area for over a year. She then moved the office to Lake Nebagamon, WI where she continues to strive to provide personalized, effective physical therapy intervention for her patients.

Lynne emphasizes careful listening to and evaluating of the patient in order to determine the best way to treat their underlying complaint. Treatment focuses on individualized hands-on techniques including soft tissue and joint mobilization (including therapeutic massage), along with modalities (gadgets ☺) and exercise to bring about the best results.

CAN I GO DIRECTLY TO MY PHYSICAL THERAPIST?

Wisconsin is a “direct access” state which means you can legally see a physical therapist without seeing a doctor first or needing a doctor’s prescription. However, some insurance carriers may require a doctor’s prescription before they will cover physical therapy treatment. The staff at Joints in Motion Physical Therapy can assist you in determining if your specific insurance policy requires a doctor’s prescription for coverage . If you start physical therapy and are not progressing as anticipated, the physical therapist will usually refer you to your physician for further work-up.

DOES JOINTS IN MOTION PHYSICAL THERAPY TAKE INSURANCE?

YES –  Joints in Motion Physical Therapy accepts insurance coverage for physical therapy services.  However, some insurance policies may only cover therapy services if you go to certain providers. Our staff will be more than happy to assist you in finding out what your insurance policy covers.  Joints in Motion Physical Therapy also offers a cash basis fee schedule for those of you who may not have insurance coverage, or who opt not to use their insurance coverage and wish to self-pay.
